June 19, 1865, is the day that Texas, the last state in the Confederacy, to declare all slaves in the state to be FREE.

This special episode tells the histories of six historic black women in the United States. These women changed the world and made history in a myriad of ways. The stories include an artist, activist, inventor, astronaut, former slave, and doctor.
