While in Boston, I knew that I had to make the trip up to Salem. Did I mention that it was October? So, on a Saturday, in October, I went to Salem. It was rainy and busy. The pics don’t show a lot of people because they were all at the witch museum. After Salem, I headed back into Boston to check out the Museum of Fine Arts Boston.
In the 3rd episode from Boston, MA. I finish up my first day with a visit to the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company and the Old State House. I tell the story of Crispus Attucks, the first person killed in the Boston Massacre and the first American killed in the Revolutionary War.
Don’t forget to share your own travel story!
This episode tells the story of Lewis Hayden, an escaped slave from Kentucky. Hayden went on to become an integral figure in the anti-slavery movement. Hayden and his wife, Harriet, provided a safe haven for hundreds of escaped slaves.
Sorry, I will not be releasing a new episode this week because my throat’s a mess. I think my dog believes I should tough it out, though.
